R.N.L.I. Competition & Alfred McMorrow Cup
Monday, March 29th, 2010The R.N.L.I. charity competition took place on Saturday 20th March at Bundoran Golf Club, This was the first stroke competition of the new season and first place went to Eamon McGloin playing off sixteen with a nett score of 71. Eamon completed his front nine in 45 strokes prior to completing his back nine in 42 blows. This gave Eamon a one stroke winning margin over his nearest challenger John Keon playing off sixteen who secured the runners up spot with a nett 72 on a break of tie from third placed, seventeen handicapper Aaron Robinson who also posted a nett 72.
The winner of the Alfred McMorrow Cup competition was John Cassidy playing off twenty with 37 points. John had 19 points on the front nine and 18 points on the back nine to win by one from second placed John Keon. Playing off sixteen, John carded 36 points, 17 on the front nine and 19 on the back nine. In third place was Fr. Munster also with 36 points. Fr. Munster had 18 points on the front nine with 18 on the back nine.
